Those in attendance were: Danielle Kernell, Mark Mailes, Karin Dubose, Donna LaMond, Win Graham, Maria Elena Herbst, Vicki Grams, Lynne Goddard, Sue Hanna, Joni Fichter, Leah Ragiel, Chris Simon, Charlie Henke, Whitney Walsh, Cece McCann, Gayle Jackson, Shannon Gardner and Cheryl Butler. President's Report: Approval of the Minutes: Minutes of the January meeting were approved Executive Director Report: Treasurer's Report: No report Board Reports: Foundations: Had a meeting of the committee to plan for next year and review what was done this year. Will go back to foundations with Rec Center plans; Challenge Grant will be put together in parks corner next year; try to uncover family foundations here in the neighborhood; Win to update; Large Gifts ($10,000+) - will target select group of residents to try and design private, intimate activity for this group Website: totally functional; need parks pictures Special Events: Presented stork project to city council; all 6 storks made and flyers ready Colonial Party: Dedication to be Sunday, February 23; Village News gave $1500 for opening; $1,000 from city council; will have moonwalk; trackless train, music, food by Whole Foods and Rotary Pocket Park: Current Texas A&M landscape architecture class wants to be involved - 20 students, 20 designs; take to certified landscape architect to come up with completed plan; need $2295 for bus trips and supplies for A&M students; Shannon Gardner to help Parks Board member Cheryl Hoyle investigate other options Rotary: No determination at this time as to what they will be doing with the money they have budgeted to beautify a public piece of property in West U or Southside Place Park Lovers Ball: need hostesses for Cinco de Mayo party; after the meeting adjourns, will work on items needed for the ball Old Business: Will take a look at advisory board term New Business: Adjournment: Business meeting adjourned to work on Ball needs Respectfully submitted, Gayle Jackson Secretary
