Tira's insert to be in Ball packet; Kroger card info to be in Ball packets; Newcomers' Club to be given membership info and Kroger cards Executive Director: Council approved last month; Linda Gray talked with the Executive Director of the Park People and Parks Foundation; Donna LaMond to put out a news release about the job; small committee will look at candidates and invite for interviews; Sherman Yehl to interview also; probably start lower than $40,000, with the idea of increasing rapidly depending on job performance. 6. Old Business: Need Marisue Tallichet's resignation letter Joni reported on a meeting with Mayor Lewis last night regarding the Open Meetings Act A quorum for our board is 4 members $90.00 worth of invoices from PLB 2001 and $300 bad debt Park Lovers Ball Meet at 3324 Pittsburg by 8:30 to pick up auction items Be at the hotel around 9:00 to help set up;Ball will be starting earlier this year at 6:30; can pre scan credit cards for ease of check out; orchids will be for sale at $40.00 each 7. Board of Directors' Meeting February 6, 2002 Municipal Building Conference Room West University Place, Texas The meeting was called to order at 6:25 P.M. Those in attendance were: Patricia Rorschach, Charlie Henke, Mark Mailes, Ross Frazer, Cheryl Butler, Chris Simon, Win Graham, Sherry Gift, Vicki Grams, Maria Elena Herbst, Joni Fichter, Donna LaMond, Linda Gray, Sue Hanna, Beverly Loftis, Karin Dubose, Gayle Jackson, and David Flame 2. President's Report: Joni Fichter thanked Gayle and Danny Jackson for opening their home for the party honoring Linda Gray. She then read a thank you letter from Linda. Joni informed the board members that Ann Martin's Letter of Resignation had been received. One position open on Board 4 3. Approval of Minutes: The minutes were approved with the following changes - Add Win Graham as attending last month's meeting, and under "Old Business" it was noted that the address should read West University, Texas instead of Houston 4. Treasurer's Report (Unaudited): Have approximately $484,000, not including the $25,000 deposited this week; have approved additional payment of about $105,000 to architects, which will be coming out of this total. An Executive Director salary will, too, come out of this money 5. Board Reports: E-Store: Cheryl Butler to meet with Donna LaMond after the Ball to get our items put on the website Foundations & Large Gifts: Chris Simon reported the committee met on 1/24/02 to get organized; target of $50,000 this year; getting grant request guidelines; members asked to get names to Chris; Patricia Rorschach mentioned that had family involved in Hershey Foundation Website: Donna LaMond reported the website to be effective; no link from City to our website or Friends to City, so Donna to talk to Alicia regarding links
