Call to order. Meeting called to order at 7:37 PM.

II. Approval of Minutes. November 2001 minutes were approved.
III. Citizen's Comments.
a. Mary Enerson expressed a concern that people may not be as giving at this year's Park Lover's Ball
due to the economy and other recent national events. She would like for the Colonial Park budget to
include a sufficient amount of playground equipment.
b. William Altman requested to comment after reviewing revisions of the plan.
IV. City Council update - Marilyn Griffin.
a. Brought brochures from a recent TML meeting.
b. City Council asked City Staff to prepare a report regarding the timing of the Colonial Park
Redevelopment.
c. Master Plan refers to an acquisition plan for additional park land. Tara Wuthrich will head up this
project.
V. Friends report - Joni Fichter.
a. Park Lover's Ball is February 9". Contact Sue Hannah to sign up. Looking for additional auction
items. Need to pick out playgroup equipment for the Parks Corner.
b. www.westuparks.org is Friend's new web site. Check it out.
VI. City Staff report - Mark Mailes.
a. Has estimates on repairs to fence in Weir Park and plans to have it fixed soon after the holidays.
b. Mark and Michael Ross met with HL&P to discuss moving power lines in Colonial Park. SWB owns
the utility poles.
c. Meet at Huffington Park at 3:30 pm tomorrow to create a park "Wish List" for each park in West U.
VII. Sidewalk Committee update - Renelle Cadena.
The sidewalk committee has met for the last time and Council approved the Sidewalk Policy.
VIII. Colonial Park - discussion of matters relating to Colonial Park Redevelopment Plan.
Reviewed and discussed revised plan. Will review and discuss more specifics along with a revised
budget at the next meeting on January 9th.
IX. Adjournment. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 pm.
