Meeting was called to order at approximately 7:35 p.m. II. Approval of Minutes. March 8, 2000 minutes were approved. III. Citizen's Requests and/or Miscellaneous Staff Reports. Will Bertron announced that Michelle Jackson and George Nachtigall resigned from the board. IV. Chairman's Report/Update. A. Bill Hall Memorial. Continues on schedule. B. Judson Park. All members should drive by the park to review traffic pattern work done to benefit park. Comments are appreciated. C. Colonial Park Update. April 15 - April 30 pool bubble down. Pool will open May 1, 2000. New director candidates for pool area are being interviewed. (Recreation Manager) V. Master Plan Update. There will be a workshop on April 25, 2000 at 6:00 p.m. The workshop will be held at the public works lunchroom on Milton east of the pumps. VI. Discussion Items. A. Edloe Linear Update. Mark Mailes reported Jim Patterson of White Oak is reviewing phased-in design plan. Bridges will go in on Robinhood, Tangley, and Plumb. City will be looking at subsequent park and other enhancements to be added. Burt Ballanfant reviewed history of conversation with county and plan development. Reviewed council discussion regarding city's financial commitment. Burt Ballanfant requested board to carefully review options presented by White Oak for detailed discussion at a later date, probably at May meeting. (See attached) B. Tennis Tournament Schedule. Cancelled due to lack of sign-ups. Sponsors will reallocate donations/sponsorships to either Home Place Celebration events or Whitt Johnson re-opening. C. Whitt Johnson Re-Opening. Whitt Johnson Park will re-open on Sunday, April 16, 2000 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. All members attending will be appreciated. D. YMCA Purchase. City Council Committee appointed to investigate the purchase of YMCA land. John Graf will represent parks board. VII. Adjournment. Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
