Approval of Minutes. August Minutes were moved and approved. September Minutes (No Quorum). III. Citizen's Requests and/or Miscellaneous Staff Reports. No report. IV. Discussion Items. A. Bill Hall Memorial/Huffin on Park. Discussed possible memorial playhouse in Huffmgton. Cathy Hall delivered and discussed proposal - "Bill Hall Memorial Playhouse". Project partially funded by donations. It is believed that material costs should run around $6,000 (funded by donations) with labor to be donated by local builders. No money contemplated from "Friends". Pre-K vs. older kids targeting discussion. Huffington shown as a "Pre-K Park" by design. Board agreed as "Pre-K" target. A sign "Huffington Park" is being designed and installed. B. Colonial Park R.F.P's. There will be a meeting next Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. to review three proposals for potential Colonial Park redesign assignment. Presentations from each firm followed by Q&A. Will discuss "Friends" request to pull together comprehensive Plan to include remaining parks. Reference checks on each firm to be conducted and reviewed at next meeting. SLA Evans Attwell CC Marcela Chennisi White Oak Mike Hood C. Rice Pocket Park. Council has directed on Parks Board to develop as a "Pocket Park". To be integrated into center city project. Next step would be to entertain several proposals on plan to expedite implementation with extensive neighborhood involvement and feedback from neighbors, library, and community center users. Will review existing proposals and entertain further discussion at the November meeting. D. Whitt Johnson Park. • Architect failed to perform. • Bids re-open tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. • Estimate November I Ground Break. E. Facility Fees. Board reviewed and recommended approval of changes.
