The meeting was called to order at 7:32 pm
The Friends reported that there was approximately $229,000 in their account. Lauren
Griffith, landscape architect, made a presentation for the revised plan of Judson Park.
Questions and answers followed by board and guests. All present expressed satisfaction
with revised plan.
Under the next order of business. A motion was made by Carol Burke and seconded by
Marcella Chennisi that we recommend that the artwork by John Engleston be accepted
and placed temporarily at Liberty Hill Park. The artwork might be moved to the front
drive of the YMCA, if and when the City were to acquire this property.
The last order of business pertained to the Rice Pocket Park. A motion was made by
Carol Burke and seconded by Tim Hansen that the board recommend to Council that
money be expended to bring the site up to minimum standards (grade work, grass, etc.)
and that a landscape architect be hired to poll the citizens and draft a design.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
