February 1st meeting were approved. Odette Mace - Johanna Weems Tim Hansen Ross Frazer, Vice Chairman Connie Spencer Jere Ahrens TREASURER'S REPORT $150,_000 and change - unaudited. Minutes of the CITIZEN'S REQUEST Why don't we allow dogs in the park? Sanitary and safety issues. Citizen comment on Weir Park: swing sets are too small. Board will look into it for future parks. COMMUNITY CENTER RENOVATION Request an agenda and update from Mark Mailes for next meeting. PARK LOVER'S BALL Linda Gray reported the ball was a great success raising 70,000+ dollars unaudited, with some money and bills left to come in. Thanks to her and all who helped. ( WEIR PARK There is a major leak in the irrigation system near the water fountain. There is gravel in the water fountain. Suggestion to place notice in City Currents re: foreign objects- Tim Hansen volunteered to write. Stanger discussed moving the water fountain but it is expensive. There is also concern about gravel scratching the resurfaced tennis court. Tim Hansen will check with Mark Mailes to insure court is being swept frequently. MILTON STREET PARK Stanger revised cost estimate plus fees is $140,000. Motion was made seconded and approved to request an additional $60,000 from Friends be allocated to Milton Street. NEW BUSINESS With completion of Milton Street, it was suggested the board concentrate on recreation program improvement, and long term planning. Motion was made to adjourn the meeting.
