The meeting was called to order at 7:40 pm. A motion was
made by Jere Ahrens and seconded by Phil Stevenson to approve the
minutes of the July 7 meeting. Master plans were distributed and
discussed.
Whit Johnson Park was discussed. The gravel beneath the new
equipment may need a border as the gravel is spreading into the
grass. It was decided board members would go see, canvass for
feedback, and discuss at next meeting. A concrete border was
suggested. Water fountains for Whit Johnson and Judson Parks have
been ordered.
Mark solicited volunteers for the upcoming Spooktacular.
Odette Mace reported the Garden Club of Houston donated 300
bulbs for Jan. planting.
Officer elections resulted in unanimous election of Odette
Mace as Vice-Chairman and Connie Spencer as Secretary.
Sub-committee Reports:
YMCA - acquisition: Council considering resident survey - on hold.
Colonial Park - still trying to acquire remaining lots.
Weir Park - Council has decided to look at one park a year.

Lover's Ball scheduled for February 12th. The Chairman is Gail
Johnson. Ross passed out lists of businesses in the area to be
contacted for donations. A chairperson for the auction is still
needed.
Mark made an open invitation to take board members on a tour of
parks.
There being no further business, a motion was made to adjourn
by Jere Ahrens and seconded by Margaret Sanchez. The meeting was
