Parks & Recreation Board Meeting
February 3, 1993

The meeting was called to order at 7:35pm, Jere Ahrens
made a motion that the minutes of January 20, 1993, be
approved. Carol Burke seconded, the motion passed
unanimously. Under Discussion Items, the Park Lovers Ball
and ParkFest '93 were next on the agenda. The Ball will be
held Saturday, February 13 and ParkFest on Saturday, April
24. Item C under Discussion Items, Playground Equipment,
was tabled.
Under Action Items, the Board discussed amendment to
the Friends of the Parks by-laws, a motion was made and
seconded that it would be recommended to the City Council
that appointed Friends positions 1, 4 & 7 not be required to
simultaneously hold a position on the Parks & Recreation
Board. The motion passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45pm.
