Board of Directors' Meeting
January 5} 2000
City Hall Conference Room

Call To Order
The meeting was called to order by Linda Gray at 6:40 P.M. Those in attendance
were: Karin Dubose, Theresa Attwell, Joni Fichter, Donna LaMond, Mark Mailes,
Corey Brown, Gayle Jackson Linda Gray, Beverly Loftis, Ayse & Grant McCracken,
Pat Lawrence, Chris Moretta, Ross Frazer, Mike Koinis, Will Bertron, Ann Martin, and
Burt Ballanfant
2. Approval of December 1, 1999 Minutes
3. Treasurer's Report
4. Reports:
a. Foundations
b. New Events
c. Pavers: Mike Koinis handed out a 7 page update on pavers; 4 more reported
purchased after report typed $9,450
d. Randall's Card
e. Water Bill Check Off
f. Public Relations
g. Park Lover's Ball: Prototype of invitation passed out; underwriting strong; good
support coming in
h. Golf Shirt Sales
5. Old Business
Have draft of citywide survey; will go to Park Board tonight and Council next week; will
be mailed by end of month to every household; all on track
Former board member Jeanne Marosis spoke, and encouraged us to attend Henry
Rosenbloom's party for Phyllis' Corner being installed at Whitt Johnson Park
6. New Business
Linda reported that Margaret Wallace resigned from the board
Mark Mailes reported there was a problem with one of the trees at Whitt Johnson Park
where the renovation is in progress ;said a retaining wall will be needed; cost should
be around $7,000 for the wall; motion made by Joni Fichter and seconded by Ross
Frazer that we spend the money for the wall to save the tree
Linda Lewis spoke about a "park" along the Edloe ditch; city officials met with County
Commissioner Steve Radack regarding upgrading the area around the ditch; county
willing to give us some of the money to beautify and bridge the area running from
Sunset on the north to Rice Boulevard on the south; more advantageous to do the
work now in this area because new streets, etc. going in there now

When all business was concluded, the meeting was adjourned
