Board of Directors' Meeting
October 6, 1999
City Hall Council Chambers
MINUTES
1. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. Those in attendance were Theresa Attwell, Will Bertron,
Corey Brown, Karin Dubose, Ross Frazer, Beverly Loftis, Mark Mailes, Donna LaMond, Sherry Gift,
and Council Liaison - Burt Ballanfant.
2. Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Loftis and seconded by Frazer to approve the September 1, 1999 minutes.
3. Treasurer's Report: No report
4. Reports:
A. Foundations: No report
B. New Projects: Spring Fling - No report at this time; Not aware of Underwriters at this time; Need
a Friends representative for this effort
C. Pavers: Attwell made a motion to accept Koinis' request for paver brochures and expenditures
and it was seconded by Loftis
D. Randall's Card: No report; Gift suggested publicity and publicizing quarterly figures
E. Water Bill Check-off. No report
F. Public Relations: LaMond distributed Publicity Schedule; Discussed new logo in process by
Wallace; LaMond will check on progress
G. Park Lover's Ball: Need to decide on the park for which this year's PLB will go.
H. Golf Shirts: Frazer showed the shirts and distributed order forms to the Friends and Parks Boards
and gave some to Ballanfant for Council; Frazer discussed a booth at West U Carnival with
Bertron; Frazer plans to sell shirts at 77005 tournament; All Friends members are expected to
purchase shirts
5. Old Business:
Kathy will make a presentation tonight and Parks Board will price Bill Hall Memorial
6. New Business:
Ballanfant encouraged Park Board to go ahead with Rice/Auden Park
Attwell is back, and she will be the Friends Liaison to the Traffic Force
George Bertini wants to do an article on the Friends
Motions approved to put pavers in parks for each year that Village News has been a grand sponsor
Loftis requested a copy of Park Board minutes

The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
