Call to Order Beverly Loftis called the meeting to order at 6:32. Those in attendance were: Kim Wilson, Mark Mailes, Mike Koinis, Donna LaMond, Ann Martin, Chris Moretta, Margaret Wallace, Ross Frazer, Dan Cooper and Gayle Jackson 2. Election of Officers Linda Gray's notes for this meeting indicated that the current slate of officers has agreed to continue in their present capacity for another year. We invite other nominationsl 3. Approval of Minutes Ann Martin motioned that the minutes from the meeting of October 7, 1998 be approved. The motion was seconded by Chris Moretta and passed unanimously. 4. Treasurer's Report Dan Cooper reported that the treasury's balance is $277,041.04. 5. Committee Reports a. Foundations No report b. Park Lovers Ball Ann Martin showed all of us the new website which has been donated, along with the graphics, by Neosoft. The website address is www.neosoft.camd.plb She indicated that the city has okayed news releases. on the site. Ann had a packet of updated information that she passed out to all members of the board detailing the status of the ball as of 11/4/98. Ann also mentioned that we will have a "wine cellar" as an auction item and asked that each member contribute at least one bottle and/or $20.00 to this item. Members should bring contributions to the December meeting. c. Grassroots Margaret Wallace is to help Mike Koinis with a new design for our pavers brochure. We will see what they have come up with at our December meeting. Ross Frazer made a motion that authorizes Mike Koinis to spend up to $500 to get a pallet of pavers. Dan Cooper seconded the motion. 6. New/Other Business Gayle Jackson made a motion that a donation be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in honor of Commissioner Steve Radack's mother Evelyn Radack who passed away recently. Dan Cooper seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously. Mr. Rosenbloom has agreed to give $10,000 to install a "quiet corner" in Whit Johnson Park. He would like his family to be present at the dedication if possible. Mr. Rosenbloom will forward the wording for a plaque. Theresa Attwell is to be recommended to the City Council as a new member of the "Friends" board. Kim Cooper is to be on our Advisory Board. 7. Adjournment There being no further business, Beverly asked for a motion to adjourn. It was made by Mark Mailes and seconded by Ross Frazer. It passed unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
