The meeting was called to order by Ross Frazer at 6:40 p.m. Board members present were: Ross Frazer, Dan Cooper, Pat Lawrence, Lisa Ward, Beverly Loftis, Mark Mailes, Mark Spradling, Kim Wilson, Cindy Sparkman, Carolyn Rappazzo, Jeannie Marosis and Gayle Jackson. 2. Approval of minutes of 12/8/96 - Minutes were amended to show Mark Mailes was present. Mark made a motion and Beverly seconded to accept the minutes as amended. Motion passed unanimously. 3. Treasurer's report - $246,000 is in the treasury. Need money to start renovation of Judson Park by the end of February. Approximately $200,000 is needed for the completion of Judson Park. $20,000 is needed for the architect. 4. Committee Reports: a. Foundations Have not heard anything from Houston Endowment. b. Grassroots Engravers - The engraver will do as few as four pavers at one time. Need to use pavers that are in the ground. A paver will be on display at the Park Lover's Ball. C. Park Lover's Ball John Putnam was volunteered to be stage hand. It was discussed whether to place fair market value on the items displayed at the Ball. Ross will discuss the matter with Jere Ahrens before a decision is made. Deadline for paper work for the program is January 16. As there is some controversy about the deadline date it will be discussed with Ann Martin. Posters will be put up at various locations advertising Park Lover's ball. Ball is paid for and there is a profit of $16,000. Volunteers should be at the Westin Galleria at 10:00 a.m. on February 8, 1997. There could be a maximum of 500 people at the ball. one table will be provided at cost for city employees who helped with the preparation of the ball. Beverly turned in Advisory Board to Ross. Motion made by Beverly Loftis and seconded by Cindy Sparkman to adjourn the meeting, Motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned.
