Board of Directors' Meeting
October 3, 1996*6:15 PM*City Hall
AGENDA
The meeting was called to order by Mark Mailes at 6:40 p.m.
Board members present were: Lisa Ward, Ann Martin, Dan Cooper, Mark
Mailes, Harry Bristol, Mary Haynes, Pat Lawrence, Gayle Jackson,
Cindy Sparkman, Ross Frazer, Carolyn Rappazzo and Kim Wilson.
1. Approval of minutes of September 4, 1996. Dan Cooper made a
motion to approve the minutes and Cindy Sparkman seconded.
Approval was unanimous.
2. Treasurer's Report - Dan Cooper - Treasurer's Report was
Approved.
3. Committee Reports:
a. Foundations - Ross Frazer - Rockwell and Hammon
Foundations declined to contribute. Hobby's contributed
$1,000.00. Beverly Loftis and Ross Frazer delivered a
proposal to Houston Endowment.
b. Park Lover's Ball - See attachment - General discussion.
Dan Cooper talked to a man about having the auction items
scanned. The scanning of the auction items would cost
between $800 and $1,500.
C. Grassroots - No report (Mark Spradling is out of the
country)
4. New - Other Business
A request was made to the Friends' Board from the West University
Elementary School P.T.A. for the donation of a paver for their
auction. A motion was made by Cindy Sparkman and seconded by Lisa
Ward to donate a paver. Approval was unanimous.
New letterhead is being prepared.

Cindy Sparkman made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Lisa Ward
seconded.
