BOARD OF DIRECTORS' MEETING
APRIL 7, 1996 * 6:15 pm * CITY HALL
AGENDA
Ross Frazier called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.
Members present were Ross Frazer, Harry Bristol, Carolyn Ra
Beverly Loftis, Linda Gray, Mark Mailes and Lisa Ward. ppazzo, Dan Cooper,
1. The minutes of March 6, 1996 were approved.
2. Treasurer's Report
A copy of the Treasurer's report was given to the Board Members. There is
approximately $180,000.00 in the treasury. The funds received from Harris County
has to go to two separate parks for renovation. The exact amount made on the
Park Lovers' Ball is not available.
3. Committee Reports:
a. Foundations - Ross Frazier
The board members were given a copy of a list of foundations to contact.
Ross suggested we look at the foundations' list to see if we know any of the
trustees to contact.
b. ParkFest - It was suggested that another organization sponsor ParkFest
C. Park Lovers' Ball for 1997 - The first choice for the ball chairman is Odette
Mace. If Odette is unable to be chairman several other names were
suggested. We also discussed the possibility of the entire board being
responsible for the ball.
4. New/other business - Names were suggested to become members of the board.
Linda Gray made a motion that we contact the Westin Galleria to have the Park
Lover's Ball there and seconded by Beverly Loftis. A deposit of $1,000.00 will be
sent after availability of the Westin Galleria is confirmed.
Ross made a motion that the meeting be adjourned.
