HomeMy WebLinkAbout05112006 ZPC Agenda Ocm) City of West University Place A Neighborhood City ® Recycled Paper Notice of Zoning & Planning Commission Meeting Notice is hereby given that the Zoning & Planning Commission (Z&PC) and members of the City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will hold a meeting on: May 11, 2006 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Bill Watson Conference Room of the Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas The subject(s) of the meeting are as follows: [Call to order] 1. Minutes. Matters relating to minutes from the April 13, 2006 meeting. 2. Resolution for Nes Tesno. Matters relating to a resolution and certificate of appreciation for Nes Tesno, previous City Planner/Urban Forester. 3. Environmental and "Green" Development. Matters relating to Environmental and "Green" Buildings and Development. 4. Topics for review for 2006 - 2007. Issues to be placed on the agenda for upcoming meetings. Issues include but not limited to: land uses, buildings, framed area, peripheral site criteria, open and pervious areas, garages, driveways, curb cuts, parking, projections, building site and subdivision requirements, places of worship/assembly regulations, signs, peripheral area regulations (near major thoroughfares), commercial areas, drainage and site plans and other planning matters. 5. Framed Area and Related Regulations; Amendments. Matters relating to framed area regulations (sometimes called the "80% rule") and related regulations, including bulk limits, height regulations, yards or setbacks and related building regulations, building envelope (or "light plane") regulations; possible amendment of the Zoning Ordinance. 6. Town Center and Commercial Areas; PDD's. Matters relating to the town center area (generally along Edloe near University and Rice Boulevards) and other commercial areas (the C District and areas with existing non-residential uses), including but not limited to future development, platting and replatting, planned development districts (PDD's), school improvements, street and right-of-way issues, signs, sidewalks and pedestrian improvements, possible rezoning and modification of zoning regulations, and the following: a. Possible PDD's in or near the town center area b. Amendments to Article 9 regarding PDD's C. Other amendments of the zoning ordinance and other ordinances d.
