NOTICE OF PLAT HEARING
The Zoning & Planning Commission ("Z&PC") of the City of West University Place,
Texas ("City") will hold a public hearing in the Bill Watson Conference Room of the
Municipal Building, 3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas 77005
during the Z&PC meeting set to begin at 6:15 p.m. on February 12, 2009. The hearing
may be recessed and continued to the Z&PC meeting set to begin at 6:15 p.m. on March
12, 2009 at the same place. The purpose for the hearing is to provide an opportunity for
all persons to be heard in relation to a proposed plat of land in the City, described as
follows:
Address: 6203 and 6207-6217 Edloe Street, West University Place, TX 77005
Proposed name: MATTHEWS MARKET, a subdivision of 0.8007 acre situated in the
A. C. Reyolds Survey, Abstract No. 61 of Harris County, Texas
Legal description: Two parcels (0.3114 acre and 0.4893 acre) described by metes and
bounds in Exhibit A, attached.
Existing/prior uses: Auto repair shop (Matthews Motors); shopping center
Applicants: Stockard Realty Partnership, Ltd. and 6203 Edloe Partners, L.P.
Action requested: Grant combined preliminary and final plat approval (including waiver);
grant variances, interpretations or other special relief for specific items,
including drainage pattern and easements for flood control, utilities and
public sidewalk.
Applicable regulations include Chapter 74 of the City's Code of Ordinances (which also
refers to the City's Zoning Ordinance and the City's site plan ordinances) and Chapter
212 of the Texas Local Government Code. The proposed plat as well as the applicable
regulations are all available for public inspection in the Public Works Building, 3826
Amherst, West University Place, Texas 77005. Any person interested in such matters
should attend the hearing.
