CALL TO ORDER The rneednq was called to order by Dorothy Rieger, Chairperson APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes were approved as read. MONTHLY REPORT S haron Aeusser read the monthly report. TREASURER'S REPORT Randy Hardy read the treasurer's report. APAC 'Y esta Pabpafagos, new Board member and representative to APAC, reported that a mini Conference on Aging is it planned in Houston for February, 1995. S he also reported that APAC has a new off merrier in charge of benefits and counseling. Atendees at the meeting discussed the reauthorization of and possible changes to the Older Americans Act. MEALS ON WHEELS Tom Malloy reported that five groups of Meals ern Wheels are now operating in tyre 'Test University area. He will serge on the Board of the S unshine Meals Advisory Committee. COUNCIL MEETM- REPORT Dorothy Rieger reported that the Council had decided to maintain the city garbage collection as i n the past. The Council also discussed the proposed youth room, the condition of the existing Community Building, and the lights in the Lytle League playing field. She also reported that the Zoning Board is discussing the getter allocation of house and open space on small lots. They have decided that porches can no longer jut into yard space, that swimming pool can no longer be counted as open space, and ttra.t the sides of houses should ha'fe Interesting shapes"rather than the current flat sides. NEW BUSINESS The Board Voted to purchase a plastic banner saying UP Senior Services. The colors will be blue and white and the cost no more than $501.00. Sharon Reusser announced that the Leadership Forum awards will go to Bob Wark, Ruth Nelson, and Marie Fish. Sele- Lion was used on the toga I number of volunteer hours tier led.
