CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by John Monahan, Chairperson. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes read by the secretary. Randy Hardy motioned to accept; Tom Malloy seconded. PREVIEWS AND MONTHLY REPORT Sharon Reusser read the previews and monthly report. TREASURER'S REPORT Randy Hardy read the treasurer's report. AARP REPORT Ruth Ann Wissel reported that the annual Christmas party and music program was to be held December 19. SUNSHINE MEALS ON WHEELS Tom Malloy reported that the service has 50 clients. Frozen meals would be delivered for the holidays. COUNCIL MEETING REPORT The resignation of the City Manager, and pay increases for city employees and retirees were discussed during Council meet. OLD BUSINESS Sharon Reusser reported that the Christmas dinner for seniors was a success. About 185 persons attended. Each received a grab bag of gifts and about half received more expensive presents. Randy Hardy moved that the Board provide funds for a gift to Peggy Darrow who arranged with area businesses to provide the Christmas gifts. Marie Fish seconded. Board members were asked to publicize the Words on Wheels program which has gotten limite response from homebound seniors. NEW BUSINESS Ida Feux reported that Milton Park received an Award of Merit from the American City and County Magazine. Sharon Reusser said that a day for seniors in the park will be planned. Sharon Reusser also suggested that the Senior Services offices send one letter announcing dates for all Board meetings during the year. The suggestion was accepted by the Board. Mari, Fish made the motion; Tom Malloy seconded. Holiday dates for closure were announced. MOTION TO ADJOURN Ruth Nelson made the motion; Ida Feux seconded.
