point has moved to the south side of the Baptist church.

Dianne Rogers attended her first meeting as West U.'s representative, and will be
assigned to a working committee.

be relocating soon for city hall's renovation. Dorothy also reported that the city manager
has the authority to set certain city fees.

Ruth Nelson is moving to Florida and has resigned as a member and treasurer of the
board. Alice O'Neill volunteered to serve as treasurer and was unanimously approved by
the board.
OLD BUSINESS: 911 Project
1. The Police and Fire Departments are collecting current information for their laptop
computer system. This system will allow emergency personnel to have access to
current and complete information on households in West U. in order to provide more
effective emergency care. Their questionnaire will be included in our 911 bags-
1 We plan to run paid ads in the Village News in February to reach seniors and disabled
individuals not already on our list.
3. The Senior Services main room has been reserved for bag pickup and drop off the day
of the event.
4. Mary Lee and George are serving as co-coordinators.
5. The project budget of $1,500 was approved by City Council. Major expenses will be
the cost of printing bags, advertising, certificates for volunteers, refreshments and ID
badges.
6. It is vital that the project receive publicity now to assure that all seniors are on the list
and that we receive adequate volunteer support.
7. Tom Malloy has contacted Rotary and talked with Debbie Brown at CCSC. The
Rotary club seems willing to provide support, but CCSC is not a viable option for
recruitment.
8. Chairperson Gray requested that committees meet as often as needed to stay on
schedule and that committees communicate with the chair regularly to report
progress.
MOTION TO ADJOURN
Betty Aillet made the motion to adjourn at 4:15 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Dianne Rogers, secretary
