CALL TO ORDER:
SENIOR SERVICES
MINUTES
The Senior Services Board of Directors meeting was called to order by Director
Mary Lee Gray at 2:30 p.m. on March 11, 1999.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the February 11, 1999 meeting were circulated and a motion by
Dalia Stokes to approve the minutes carried.
PREVIEWS AND MONTHLY REPORT:
Sharon Reusser outlined the previews. Lola Brooks moved the acceptance of the
previews. Motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT:
Alice O'Neill gave the Treasurer's reports for February and March. Lola Brooks
moved for the acceptance of both reports. Motion carried.
SUNSHINE MEALS ON WHEELS REPORT:
Tom Malloy gave the report on Sunshine Meals and advised that 42,014 meals were
delivered in 1998 and the client count this month is 49.
RECYCLING COMMITTTEE REPORT:
John Valcik gave another favorable report on the Recycle program.
APAC REPORT:
Betty Aillet gave a favorable report of APAC.
CITY COUNCIL:
Dorothy Zink reported on the City Council meeting in the new facility. Water
usage, Parks vs ARF. Bond issue for sidewalks, new services for cleaning, General
election to be held on 5/1/99. Bulletin board, telecom rite-a-way, cost of revenue,
upgrading buildings, inspection standards and easement at JMH.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Sharon addressed health care fair and asked our opinion on a booth. We choose a
poster. Director Gray asked Stan McCandless to provide a report on City planning
for us.
Sharon addressed the "Safe Return" brochure. Director Gray addressed the
neighborhood watch and advised any one can be called if they feel the need.
NEW BUSINESS:
We will be offered a "Day Trip" on May 6, 1999 to Lake Sheldon for a picnic, John
Cooper School and the Woodlands with a cost of $10.00.
ADJOURNMENT:
Director Gray adjourned the meeting at 3:55 P.M.
