HomeMy WebLinkAboutssminutes021000City of West University Senior Services Board of Directors Meeting Minutes The Senior Services Board of Directors meeting was called to order on February 10, 2000 at 2:30 p.m. by chairman Mary Lee Gray, with the following members present. Mary Lee Gray, Sharon Reusser, Betty Aillet, Lola Brooks, Joe Graf, Maureen Graf, George Harbeson, Tom Malloy, Stan McCandless, Ken Moore, Dorothy Zink, Bob Park, Dalia Stokes: absent - Lorraine Greenleaf, Lynn Old, Alice O'Neill. Guest Marie Fish. A get well card was passed around to be signed for Lorraine Greenleaf and a happy retirement card for Jack Meyers. Sharon Reusser gave previews of coming events. Special sneak previews of Tour of the Alley Theater on March 13 and on March 22 A morning matinee of Noel Cowards play "Hay Fever." Treasurer's Report - Joe Graf gave report with a balance of $4168.52 as of 1/31/2000. Lola Brooks made motion. Motion carried. Meals on Wheels report by Tom Malloy - 53 meals were delivered in January 2000. No other news. Recycle report - no report. Council Meeting Report - Water bill will have a light blue sheet in it for seniors to fill out so a count of seniors in West University can be up to date. APAC has two goals this year, improve attendance to meetings and improve relationship with service providers. The request for funding for the mailing projects was accepted. NEW BUSINESS: Lynn Old would like to have more input for the news letter. Dorothy Zink found a company that would clean the wheelchairs on Saturday. No cost but donations are accepted. A logo sticker will be picked to be worn at the Home Place Celebration. Ken Hoffman will do an article on the Home Place Celebration. Stan McCandless presented outline for the Home Place Celebration. Sharon Reusser is looking for volunteers to model in Fashion Show in March. The West University Senior Services Board will display the meeting agenda 3 days before meeting. Open to the public. Meeting was adjourned at 3:45. Following was a celebration for Jack Meyers retirement. Some past members of the board were also present. Betty Aillet, Acting Secretary
