HomeMy WebLinkAboutssminutes051100City of West University Place Senior Services Board Minutes of Board of Directors' Meeting on May 11, 2000 Mary Lee Gray, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. Members Present: Mary Lee Gray, Stan McCandless, Tom Malloy, Joe and Maureen Graf, Bob Park, Betty Aillet, Dorothy Zink, Maureen Beck, and Ken Moore. Senior Services Director and the Liaison were present. Minutes of the April Meeting on 4/13/00 were read and corrected. Sharon Reusser read the Previews" which were approved by the Board. Joe Graf, Treasurer, read the Treasurer's report which was approved.. Sunshine Meals: No formal report. Tom reported that he was unable to continue his job of driving, and was asked to continue to make the reports. ReCycle Committee: Stan reported on their monthly meeting which was h6ld at the Dinkins Recycle Center. They inspected a new compactor. APAC: Reported by Dorothy Zink. City Council: Reported by Dorothy Zink with additional comments by the Liaison. Good Neighbor Team: Reported by Dorothy Zink. Next Orientation Meeting will be on Thursday, April 181h at 2:30 p. m. A member of the Junior League called Dorothy and offered their services as Visitors for the Good Neighbor Team. The Girl Scouts are making decorations that can be used by the Team. Senior Census: Reported by Ken Moore - the new data base is in progress. Corrections being made to the +65 list, and new names are being added. Previous Business: Stan will compose some words for the Sympathy Cards that volunteers can use. New Business: Senior Services Office will be closed on Monday, May 29th, for Memorial Day Observed. Board Members were urged to attend some of the events on the Previews" list.
