Senior Services Advisory Board Meeting Minutes of 09/06/2001
The Senior Services Advisory Board Meeting was called to order at 2:35 P.M. by Vice
Chair Ken Moore and Sharon Reusser took minutes.
The following Board members and staff were present: Vice Chair Ken Moore, Jeannine
Bergt, Ann Bertini, Joe Graf, George Harbeson, Tom Malloy, John Neighbors, Sharon
Reusser, Mary Ryerson, and Elizabeth Young. City Council member, Marilyn Griffin,
was also present.
The Previews were read and approved.
Tom Malloy gave a report on the Sunshine Meals on Wheels program including a short
history for the benefit of the new members. There was no Recycle committee report.
There was no APAC report. City Council: Marilyn Griffin spoke on the Closed
Executive Session lawsuit, the swearing in of new Board members, speed humps, traffic
on Buffalo Speedway, the Edloe Linear Park, the YMCA purchase and the budget for
2002.
Committee Reports: The Good Neighbor Team is status quo, as is the Hi Neighbor
newsletter. 2003 will be the next year that there will be a large census push. Betty Aillet
gave an activity report. The Planning Committee made a request for volunteers to help
shop for new sofas. Betty Aillet and Mary Ryerson said they'd help and Marilyn Griffin
will also.
Previous Business: The Home Place Celebration was briefly discussed. Census forms
will definitely be made available at the celebration.
New Business: The Rotary Club wants to know if we know of any antique cars to
participate in their parade.
Announcements were made.
