Good Neighbor Team/Flying Squad Report: There is continued discussion about using mentor groups. Photos of members assisting others are being considered for presence on the web site. Pat Voros will stay on to assist her. Anne Hershiser was asked to remain as Board Chairman. A motion was made, seconded and passed unanimously to undertake returning Pat's position to a #36, and to provide a substantial bonus for the excellent interim job she did after Sharon Reusser resigned her position. Pat's position was downgraded to a #34 with out any consultation with the Board. A letter will be sent to the City Manager, the Mayor and Council to this respect. It was also suggested that as Mark Mailes knows so little about our Board, that he be invited to sit in on some of our meetings. Maureen was thanked for bringing the lack of use of our computer to our attention. It was suggested the cabinet door be left open during business hours. Pat has a new lead on some computer classes. A letter from the Harris County Appraisal Board was brought to the attention of the Board. It demanded proof of homestead exemptions within 30 days, or loss of said exemptions. Concern was expressed that this could result in some seniors loosing their homestead exemptions. John Neighbors is looking into the matter with the County. Sending letters to Commissioner Raddick was suggested. Meeting adjourned 2:40 PM.
