Introduction of Janiss to the Board. Previews: Reviewed. Comment on Item 6 concerning free house inspections by the Fire department Reports: Sunshine: Our numbers slipped to 38 while the total deliveries fell from 150 to 125. The drop-is-possibly-due to the option of assisted living for those who are dependent at home. APAC: prescription drug programs and cards were discussed. The AAA is pursuing the idea of making all of their pamphlets and flyers available on a list for offices of aging, nutrition centers, and senior services around the county. The SMOW project has begun to raise money for holiday and weekend delivered meals. Good Neighbor: The current list of recipients has been updated. Photos were taken for use on a website or on a trifold display for the organization. Nametags may be produced with these and future photos. Previous Business: The pay grade system, health insurance, and raises for city employees was discussed. The Senior Services is still listed as Adult Services in the City Currents. Mark will correct. New Business: Janiss suggested a Talent Show be considered to make up for budget cuts. Five dollars per person would be charged. We might bring in an audience of 500. This money would go towards a scholarship fund for seniors who can not pay for trips. A request was made to the Board for help. It would occur in May or June. A 66% increase in the Tax Rate for West University was discussed. The Board may consider expressing concern about seniors and property taxes and the need to keep a mix of old and young in the community. Mary is willing to go to the Board on the 4 h Monday in November or December 13"' to express concerns.
