John Neighbors looked into a letter from the Harris County Appraisal Board that was
brought to the attention of our Board previously. The conclusion is that although proof of
qualification for homestead exemptions is random, it can cost an elderly citizen their
exemption if it is not provided within 30 days. The Board suggested this information be
brought to the attention of our Seniors in every possible way.
New Business: Walter Thomas talked about Tax Exemption and other issues related to
tax concerns.
