5/8/2003
Meeting called to order at 2:05 PM. Quorum was not present.
Attendees: George Harbeson, Ken Moore, Betty Aillet, Elizabeth Young, and Stan
McCandless. Staff present was Janiss Stump. No Council member was present. Absent
were Joe Graf, Mary Ryerson, Ann Bertini, Tom Malloy, Maureen Beck, Jeannine Bergt,
Anne Hershiser, and John Neighbors. No guests were present.
Previous meeting's Minutes were read and approved.
Previews and Sneak Previews were reviewed.
REPORTS
Sunshine Meals: No report.
Recycle Meeting: No report.
APAC: No report.
Council Meeting Report: No report.
Good Neighbor Team/Flying Squad Report: Getting new members and still working
on seniors list.
Activity Report: Participation increasing. We will reciprocate in some form for
Terrace Tea Dance.
Hi Neighbor Newsletter: Working on next issue.
Previous Business: There was some on-going discussion of homestead exemption and
that it may only affect a few. We need to contact council members after new e-mails and
phone numbers are established. We await Patsy's school certificate in order to follow up
on reimbursement for her.
New Business: Janiss has opened some discussion about raising funds by allowing use
of our premises. We need to be sure Board members get notified in writing about
upcoming meetings and agendas. Jeannine Bergt, Tom Malloy and Ann Bertini have
resigned from the Board. Procedures for new city officials to appoint new Board
members were discussed.
