has completed some projects she is working on and can return.
Council Meeting Report: The first reading of the No Knock ordinance was made. The
final reading is scheduled for the next Monday. Only commercial solicitation is affected.
The entrance to the Rec. Center on Cason is under review and in a study phase at this
time. Parking in driveways that block sidewalks will not be ticketed, as long as the
resident has made an effort to pull up as far as possible. The improvements to Edloe and
University are ongoing. Council has approved $15,000 for a study of Auden
improvements if the bid for Edloe and University comes in under budget. All county
funds for the Rec. Center are off the table.
Good Neighbor Team/Flying Squad Report: Ninety-three deliveries of spring flowers
were made.
Activity Report: Activity selection is a trial and error process. Transportation is down
somewhat. The schedule has not changed. More advertising of transportation
availability was discussed. Advertising in the water bill was mentioned.

Approximately 1,600 letters are sent out three times a year. A senior e-mail list for the
newsletter was suggested, but spam blocking could be a problem.
Previous Business: John Neighbors and Janiss Stump attended a meeting the City
Council held with all Board and Committee heads. They gave a brief report about Senior
Services.
New Business: The new Parks and Recreation Director, Tim M. O'Connor, was
introduced to the Board. He has twenty-five years of experience and was the Assistant
Director for Missouri City. He is also a former resident of the City. Discussion and
explanation of why Parkinson's group is charged $40 a month for the facilities took
place. The process of setting up and taking down is part of the problem. Budgeting for
this expense is being entertained.
Meeting adjourned at 2: 53 PM.
