1. Friday June 9: King Chiropractic will be here for a seminar on drug
interaction. Using a computer program, they can discover if your
medications are working together or fighting each other. 10:00 -11:30.
Free.
2. Tuesday June 13: The Historical Society daytime meeting will highlight the
influence of the Jewish community in the area at the Bayou Manor 2:00 -
4:00. Free.
3._ Wednesday June 14: Precinct Three bus trip to Tomball for antiques and
Goodson Cafe old-fashioned comfort food. 8:45 - 3:00. $12.00.
4. Thursday June 15: AARP has a luncheon. Russell Marino will speak on the
topic of aging.
5. Friday June 16: Will start the beginning of the AARP-sponsored defensive
driving course. 9:00 -1:00. $10.00 (Note Price Change).
6. Tuesday June 20: Island of the sharks is our topic of the IMAX film at the
Museum of Natural Science. 3:00 - 5:15. $4.00.
7. Wednesday June 21: Lunch Bunch is going to Truluck's. Leaving at Noon.
8. Friday June 23: Part Two of the AARP DDC class will meet. 9:00 -1:00.
9. Tuesday June 27: Great Books Discussion Group. Noon -1:30. Free.
10. Wednesday June 28: All ages are invited to attend a seminar on osteoporosis
and exercises that every one should know. Males and females, young and
old. Wear comfortable clothes. 10:00 -11:30. Free.
11. Friday June 30: Keddy Outlaw's poetry group meets in the library at 1:00.
Free.
12. Wednesday July 5: The new local State Farm agent, Janette Redou, will give
a non-selling seminar on long-term care. 10:00 -11:00. Free.
13. Friday July 7: Hot Doggin' with the Space Station. Annual hot dog party
with a special guest speaker from NASA who will fill us in on all the newest
on the space station. 11:00 -1:00. $4.00.
14. Tuesday July 11: Check out the two new exhibits at the HMNS. Harvard
Gold and Trilobites. 2:00 - 4:00. Free.
15. Thursday July 13: Next Board meeting. 2:30.
SPECIAL PREVIEW:
1. Friday July 14 - August 4: Brown Bag Radio Shows: Four Fridays. We will
listen to tapes of old radio shows. Everything form Jack Benny to the Lone
Ranger. Bring a sack lunch and then stay for Bingo. Noon -1:30. Free.
