1. Friday, September 15: Parkinson Foundation monthly meeting and
luncheon. Speech on "Evaluation and Management of Chronic Pain
Syndrome." 11:00 - 2:00. Free
2. Tuesday, September 19: Great books discussion group. Noon -1:30.
3. Wednesday, September 20: Lunch Bunch at Christies Seafood. Noon - ?
4. Thursday, September 21: AARP'S quarterly luncheon and program. Noon
- 2:30. Free
5. Friday, September 22: All ages seminar on stroke prevention. Tests will be
available in-the-future (for a fee). 10:00 -11:00. Free.
6. Tuesday, September 26: The Garden Club begins their new season. 10:00 -
Noon.
7. Wednesday, September 27: Day trip to Galveston. Guided tour of UTMB,
visits to an art museum, the Galveston County Historical Museum, a viewing
of a new movie on the 1900 storm and lunch. 8:15 - 4:45. $15.00.
8. Friday, September 29: All ages seminar on bladder diseases and control
presented by the Women's Hospital. 10:00 -11:00. Free.
9. Friday, September 29: Keddy Outlaw's poetry group meets at the library at
1:00. Free.
10. Tuesday, October 3: Mini-bus trip to see the new museum at Texas Southern
University. Projects by current students, faculty members and graduates.
1:30 - 3:30. Free.
11. Friday, October 6: Airplane Party! Travel around the world with song and
travel slides. Our room will be transformed into a Boeing 747! Lunch to
follow trip. 11:00 -1:00. $4.00.
12. Tuesday, October 10: Great Books Discussion Group. Noon -1:30. Free
13. Tuesday, October 10: A start up seminar on geneology. The meeting will be
presented by the Clayton Librarian and next Tuesday we'll take the group to
the library for computer help in the search for family roots. 2:00 - 3:30.
Free.
14. Thursday, October 12: Next Board Meeting at 2:30.
