1. Tues. April 15: Another exciting adventure to the Museum of Natural Science
IMAX Theater is scheduled this month. We will learn all about the Louis and
Clark expedition as we follow their trail of exploration. 10:30 -12:30. Price
depends on membership.
2. Wed. April 16: Dr. Eugenia Gutierrez will join us again for a short seminar
titled, Nutrition For The Golden Years. She will explain processes in the body
as we age, provide valuable insight into the mind-body-spirit connection and
share nutritional information specifically related to prevention. 10:45 -11:45.
Free. All ages are invited.
3. Fri. April 21: It's spring! Lets celebrate the season with a visit to the Cockrell
Butterfly Center. This unique glass structure is home to thousands of exotic,
live butterflies and plants. It is rumored that the butterflies sometimes
actually light on the visitors as they pass through. On our way back we will
stop at a Baskin Robbins for ice cream. 1:00 - ? $3.50.
4. Wed. April 30: Don't miss the Spring Fling Theme Meal! This should be a
wonderful afternoon for us all. We will enjoy a picnic style lunch while we
listen to lively upbeat music from Gene Noser and friends. Afterward we will
have an old-fashioned white elephant swap and trade. Those who want to
participate in the swap should bring an item from home that you don't want.

5. Thurs. May 1 and 15: Adults Plus luncheon. This month we will enjoy an
excellent presentation and slide show of selected old houses of Texas on May 1't
and on May 22 a Dixie land band will delight audiences with some upbeat
favorites. The food is gourmet and the company second to none! 11:00 -1:00.
$3.00.
6. Tues. May 6: Join Senior Services for our annual Health Fair. Over 50
vendors will be on hand to inform, assist and provide testing and education on
health related concerns and interests. Begins 10:00. Free. All ages are invited.
7. Wed. May 7: Join West University senior group for another enjoyable visit to
the Alley Theater. The Trip to Bountiful is the heartwarming story of an
elderly woman's pilgrimage form Houston to Bountiful, Texas were she makes
connection to her past and affirms satisfaction in a life well lived. 9:45. Const
$7.50 in advance.
Sneak Preview:
1. We have been invited to a fabulous afternoon of dancing. A live band will play
old favorites, upbeat foxtrot and swing music. There will be plenty of
refreshments and fun for everyone. 2:30 - 5:30. Free.
