1. Friday, October 12: The Journey of Tea - a seminar, slide and tasting of
teas. Afternoon tea favorites make for a nice, light lunch. 11:00 -1:00.
$4.00. Full.
2. Tuesday, October 16: Second trip to seethe Cows on Parade. We're going
to the downtown area today. 1:00-3:00. Free. Full.
3. Wednesday, October 17: Lunch Bunchers going to State Grill. Noon to ?
4. Thursday, October 18: Good Neighbor Team meeting at City Hall. 2:00.
5. Friday, October 19: Defensive Driving Courses form 9:00 -1:00. $10.00
payable to the instructor.
6. Friday, October 19: Parkinson Foundation of Harris County monthly
meeting. 11:00-1:00.
7. Tuesday, October 23: Enjoy a guided tour of the HEB Central Market. We
will stay for lunch in their deli. 10:00 - 12:30. Lunch and purchases are on
your own.
8. Tuesday, October 23: Games in the Senior Wing at 6:00. Ping Pong, chess,
cards, dominos, etc.
9. Wednesday, October 24: All ages are invited to a seminar titled "How to
Beat the Holiday Blues." Invite your friends, family members and
neighbors! 2:00 - 3:00. Free.
10. Friday, October 26: Second half of the Defensive Driving Course. 9:00 -
1:00.
11. Tuesday, October 30: Great Books Discussion Group. Noon -1:30.
12. Friday, November 2: Friday Morning Lecture at the MFA on photography
and more. 9:30 - Noon. Price depends on membership.
13. Tuesday, November 6: No Community Building activities due to election
day.
14. Wednesday, November 7: The West U Police Department wants to keep us
safe. Learn how to shop carefully, watch for frauds, and keep telemarketers
honest with Joe Klinkovski. All ages are invited. 2:00 - 3:30. Free.
15. Thursday, November 8: Next Board meeting at 2:30.
16. Dance as it relates to art drawings at the MFA. Leaving 5:30 for the 6:00
show. Free.
