1. Friday, April 12: Last chance for AARP volunteer tax assistance. 10:00 -
1:00. Appointments necessary. Free.
2. Wednesday, April 17: Lunch Bunchers to Benihana's for the food and
entertainment. 12:00 - ?
3. Thursday, April 18: Take a mini-bus trip to check out the Bayou Park
Lands near Hermann Park. 1:00 - 3:30. Donations accepted
4. Friday, April 19:
A. First part of the AARP defensive driving class. Good for a 10% discount.
9:00 -1:00. $10.00 payable to instructor.
B. Monthly Parkinson Foundation of Harris County meeting, luncheon and
support groups. 11:00 - 2:00. Free.
5. Tuesday, April 23: The annual Health Fair. St. Joseph's will offer
cholesterol, glucose and psa testing for donations towards their food pantry
and school supplies for underprivileged children. 12 Oaks is scheduled to do
ekg's and skin cancer screenings. We also will have vision, hearing,
podiatry, spine analysis, etc., etc. All ages are invited. Get here and get
information on all sorts of topics! Freebies and door prizes galore. 10:00 -
1:00. Free.
6. Wednesday, April 24: Enjoy a trip to HBU to see their "Art Underfoot"
show. 10:30 -12:30. Free.
7. Friday, April 26: Second half of the defensive driving class. 9:00 -1:30.
8. Tuesday, May 7: Take a schooner ride along the Kemah shoreline with
Captain Joe sailing the Captain Kidd. After our "Pirate" ride, we will have a
picnic lunch at the UH Clear Lake Campus followed with a tour. Limit of
28! 8:30 - 4:00. $25.00.
9. Wednesday, May 8: Don't forget our new activity at the Montrose Library.
Secondwednesday is great music and the best food you can bring to eat on
your lap. 11:30 -1:30. Free.
10. Thursday, May 10: Next Board meeting. 2:00 - 3:00.

1. Monday, May 13: Kilimanjaro at the HMNS. Take a trip to the "roof of
Africa." 3:00 - 5:15. $4.0054.50.
