1. Friday, October 10: Cooking Class. Elaine Small, Director of
Rice Epicurean Cooking School will present a cooking class that
promises to be quite popular. She will focus on how to prepare
scrumptious gourmet meals for two. 10:30. $10.00
2. Wednesday, October 15: Forbidden Gardens. This promises to be
a very interesting venture. The guided tour will encompass the
beautiful gardens as well as a replica of the ancient world of
China' Forbidden City. 9:30.$26.00
3. Thursday, October 16: Met in Motion. We will venture to Miller
Outdoor Theatre to view a live stage performance by the Houston
Metropolitan Dance Company. 10:00. Free
4. Monday, October 20: Lucia's Garden. Lucia Bettler will awaken
our senses with all the allure of aromatherapy. She will make
clear the health benefits of various herbal extracts.
5. Wednesday, October 22 and 29: One-Stroke Painting. Sherrie
Cook certified one-stroke painting instructor will teach this
wonderful technique. This is a two-part session. 9:30. $10.00
6. Friday, October 17 and 24: Defensive Driving. AARP will
provide the instruction for this class and participants will qualify
for insurance reduction. 9:00. $10.00
7. Wednesday, October 30. Halloween Party. Fun and laughter are
two words that describe this popular event. Food, entertainment,
costumes, singers and fun, fun, fun. 11:30. $4.00

1. Wednesday, November 12: Exotic Cat Refuge. up for this
wonderful trip reserve where they offer refuge and rehabilitation
to endangered exotic cats and other wildlife. 8:30. $22.00
