1. Fridays, Jan. 2 and 9: Batik. We will learn this ancient art form
using wax and dye to create a unique framed design. 10:00. $5.00
2. Wednesday, Jan.7: Rothko Chapel. We will travel to the
historical Rothko Chapel and Menil Gallery. You won't want to
miss both the Museum and the Chapel. 9:45. Free
3. Thursday, Jan. 8: Basic Computer Class. Seniors meet Seniors:
Get ready to take a journey into the 21st Century by learning
basic computer skills. Lessons will facilitate by the students of the
Bellaire High School. Lessons will entail MsWord, Excel and an
introduction to the Internet. 3:15-4:30 (nine sessions). $10.00
4. Wednesday, January 14: Port Arthur: Don't miss out on this
intriguing trip as we drive through the Golden Triangle Veterans
Memorial Park to see authentic WWII icons. 8:00. $19.00
5. Tuesday, January 20: Reiki. Ruth Seeliger, will present a mini-
seminar that will entail the basic introduction to this widespread
energy healing.
6. Friday, January 23: Luncheon Theater. We're taking the theme
mewl to another level! You won't want to miss this one-act
production entitled, The Sisters McIntosh. 11:30. $4.00
7. Wednesday, October 22 and 29: One-Stroke Painting. Sherrie
Cook certified one-stroke painting instructor will teach this
wonderful technique. This is a two-part session. 9:30. $10.00
8. Thursday, January 29: Alley Theatre - Proof. Take a trip with
us as we journey to the Alley Theatre to see this romantic comedy.
8:45. $7.50.
Sneak Preview: Tuesday, February 10th: Riding the Rails Tour. You
won't want to miss Houston's new state-of-the-art light rail system.
Join the fun, as we stop by the Hobby Center, see downtown Houston,
the museum district and lots more.
