Let's get together and visit the Museum of Contemporary craft to see over 30 craft exhibits. Some of Houston's finest artists are represented in this exhibit. 1:30. Free. Thurs. Dec. 9: Heritage Society Christmas Tour of Homes. A Tour of lavishly decorated Nichols-Rice-Cherry House-the oldest surviving brick house in Houston, the Kellum-Noble House, once owned by William Marsh founder of Rice -University and The Old Place- a cabin that is thought to be the oldest structure in Harris County. We will also take time to peruse the H.S. Museum. 1:00. $5.00. Sun. Dec. 12: Let's go to the HITS Theatre production of Nun Crackers. This is a hilarious play about a group of nuns in Hoboken NJ, who decide to produce the Christmas classic Nutcracker-side splitting comedy follows. 2:00. $14.00. Wed. Dec.15: Christmas Luncheon at St. Georges Orthodox Church. Join us for our traditional Christmas luncheon. We invite seniors from West U and surrounding communities to celebrate the season with us. Quality entertainment, a delicious meal and door prizes-you bring desert. 12.00. $3.00. Fri. Dec 17: Johnny Dyson Band comes to West University Place for a Christmas Dance in the new recreation center at 4210 Bellaire Blvd. This should prove to be a spectacular event. Put on your dancing shoes, fancy duds, bring your friends and lets have fun! ! 1:00-4:00 $4.00 or $7.00 per couple. Dec. 19: Houston Concert Band presents a Christmas Concert Dec 19. Tues. Dec.28: HMNS IMAX The Greatest Places. This film will take you on an odyssey around the globe to seven of the "Greatest Places" on earth. They include: Madagascar (the world's 4th largest island), Tibet ( the highest plateau in the world), Amazon River (the world's highest sand dunes), Greenland (for the largest icebergs) and Botswana's Okavango Delta, the world's largest oasis surrounded by the Kalahari Desert. 1:15.
