Notice of Zoning & Planning Commission Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Zoning & Planning Commission (Z&PC) and members of the
City Council of the City of West University Place, Texas will hold a meeting on:
Februaryl2, 2009 beginning at 6:15 p.m.
in the Bill Watson Conference Room of the Municipal Building,
3800 University Boulevard, West University Place, Texas 77005
The subject(s) of the meeting are as follows:
[Call to order]
1. Notices, Rules, Etc. Matters relating to notices, introductions, rules, meeting procedures
and identifying parties.
2. Minutes. Matters relating to minutes from the December 11, 2008 meeting.
3. Matthews Market Plat. Public hearing, deliberation, action and other matters related to a
proposed plat, as follows:
Address, Etc. 6203 and 6207-6217 Edloe Street, West University Place, TX 77005 (located on the east
side of Edloe Street between University Boulevard and Rice Boulevard; previously
used as the site for an auto repair business called Matthews Motors and a small retail
center)
Proposed name: MATTHEWS MARKET, a subdivision of 0.8007 acre situated in the A. C. Reyolds
Survey, Abstract No. 61 of Harris County, Texas
Applicants: Stockard Realty Partnership, Ltd. and 6203 Edloe Partners, L.P.
Action requested: Grant combined preliminary and final plat approval (including waiver); grant variances,
interpretations or other special relief for specific items, including drainage pattern and
easements for flood control, utilities and public sidewalk.
4. Basements and other Subterranean Structures. Matters relating to excavations and other
subterranean structures, including possible code amendments and related issues.
5. Dead End or Stub Driveways. Matters relating to regulations concerning dead end or stub
driveways on non-major thoroughfare streets.
6. Fences. Matters relating to fences including masonry, stone, and stucco fences; front, rear
and side fences; yard regulations and projections; "virtual" fences; hedges; natural growth
fences; and related matters.
