Visit the Bastrop County Historical Museum for a docent led tour through History of Bastrop highlighting the native Americans and Camp Swift. We will enjoy lunch at a quaint local restaurant and then we're off to the Central Texas Museum of Automotive History which features more than 100 classic cars from 1901 to 1980. 7:30-5:30. $18.00. Nov. 17: Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. We hope all of you come. Thurs: Nov. 18: Holiday Weight Management. Did you know that the average person gains about 5 lbs from Halloween to New Years? Jo Jennings of the Harris County Extension Office will be here to discuss strategies to help us maintain our weight during the most tempting season of the year. 10:15 Free. Sat. Nov. 20: Cat Show @ George R Brown Convention Center. This is one of the largest Cat Shows in the US. You will see the Breed Show Case, watch some of the cat judging and see the Friskies trained cats perform. 10:00. $10.00. Mon. Nov. 22: Opera In the Heights. Enjoy a special abbreviated version of La forza del destino. Live performance and narration. 10:30. $5.00. Wed. Nov. 24: A Christmas Carolat The Alley Theater. This play is a Christmas tradition and we know that the Alley cast will create a magnificent production. Get in the holiday spirit and join us for a theater classic. 8:45. $8.00.
